In Property Development this is the person employed by the Developer for the construction of the project. They are responsible for the bulk of the build, and may sub-contract part of the work to various specialist Trades, such as; plumbers, electricians, plasters and decorators. There will normally be a JCT Contract between Developer and Contractor that will itemise the works and costings, together with a timeline of completion of each stage of works.
